Ultimate Software Announces Partnership with NetSuite for HCM Integration at Connections Conference

April 9, 2015      By Adam Rogers

Our annual customer and partner forum, Connections, took place in Las Vegas last month. An inspiring keynote by Simon Sinek; an artistic presentation from Erik Wahl; a special concert with Grammy-winner Michael Bublé; and plenty of engaging and entertaining Magic—from the NBA-legend-turned-entrepreneur to some surprise on-stage illusions—all made for a memorable week.

Cécile Alper-Leroux, our VP of product strategy & development, and I also had the privilege of sharing the latest updates to UltiPro, including more than 400 enhancements delivered in the past year (and over 200 ideas requested by customers), and providing a glimpse into our product roadmap for 2015.

This year’s event was even more special because of the over 1,800 payroll, HR, and talent professionals who joined us in celebrating Ultimate Software’s milestone 25th anniversary. We are grateful to each and every one of our people—our customers and our employees—who have joined with US in putting people first throughout the past quarter-century. Together at Connections 2015, we learned the keys to unlocking our people potential and gained valuable insight that will lead us all to success through the next 25 years.

Now, despite the ever-popular tagline, not everything that happens in Vegas actually stays there. At Connections, we announced an exciting new partnership with NetSuite, Inc., the industry’s leading provider of cloud-based financials/enterprise resource planning (ERP) and omnichannel commerce software suites. The scope of this news travels far beyond the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip—it impacts millions of people around the globe.

Our strategic alliance with NetSuite will integrate the UltiPro human capital management (HCM) solution with the NetSuite ERP suite, bringing the industry an unprecedented level of end-to-end functionality across every area of business. That means companies will be able to manage their entire lifecycle—from financials, supply chain, and customer relationship management (CRM) to payroll, HR, and talent management—from anywhere and at any time, all through two leading solutions in the cloud.

In addition to improving operational efficiency, this integration will yield significant benefits for our joint customers, including:

  • seamless sharing of key employee and financial data between the HCM/payroll system and the ERP system
  • increased data integrity, significant time savings, and reduced cost of ownership via pre-existing integrations
  • easier access to data across the full suite of business applications for reporting and analysis
  • single sign-on for employees to access their HCM solution and any NetSuite business application such as CRM, supply chain, and financials

NetSuite is a forward-thinking company that shares our commitment to putting people first in all aspects of an organization, from employee culture to customer service. I echo our CEO Scott Scherr’s sentiments in saying we’re thrilled to bring this partnership to the market.

I want to thank all of our customers who joined us last month in Vegas. Connections 2015 may have just wrapped up, but we at Ultimate have already begun planning for an incredible event next year. We look forward to connecting with you in 2016!
